As we continue to prepare our hearts for all the meaning and merry of the season, I must confess, Christmas music is continually playing in my household. True \u2014 and don\u2019t lose too much respect for me here \u2014 but I have been known to sing Christmas songs all year long. (How can \u201cHark!\u201d not  put a person in a most awesome mood??)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a new album added to this year\u2019s seasonal Spotify playlist \u2014 Idina Menzel\u2019s most excellent \u201cChristmas: A Season of Love.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But on that album one song stands out to me. It\u2019s how I think\u2026 and so much of what the Intramuralist attempts to articulate\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s enough for everyone<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So come as you are<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember that the door is always open<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, come as you are<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The perfect gift that you can bring is your heart<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this table, there will be no judgment<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this table, mercy has a seat<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this table, we’re all sons and daughters<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s no place I’d rather be<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So come as you are<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s the beauty of the Christmas season\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And \u2014 dare I say \u2014 one of the joys of singing these songs all year long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
