Why? It\u2019s the only grammar notation that actually solicits a response. As we dive into the new year, therefore, my mind is swirling. Change your questions \u2014 change your life <em>(as the apt-named, brilliant book by Dr. Marilee Adams says; this is the way I think).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are 20 questions<em> (well, maybe a little more)<\/em> that I\u2019m asking as we turn our time and attention to 2021:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>What will a peaceful transition of power look like this year?<\/li><li>Why do we only claim fraudulence when we lose?<\/li><li>Will a fairly evenly-divided House and Senate govern like a fairly evenly-divided House and Senate?<\/li><li>How will each party handle their radicals?<\/li><li>Will each party admit they have radicals?<\/li><li>What will a Pres. Biden be most known for?<\/li><li>What will a former Pres. Trump do?<\/li><li>Will Trump still tweet?<\/li><li>How will the vaccine card be used and misused?<\/li><li>How has isolation changed us?<\/li><li>When will life be normal?<\/li><li>What will <em>never<\/em> be normal?<\/li><li>Will we hug?<\/li><li>Will we still wear <em>(at least physical) <\/em>masks?<\/li><li>What about the new strain of Covid?<\/li><li>Will the Bills finally win the Super Bowl?<\/li><li>When will fans fill stadiums?<\/li><li>Will baseball fans ever return?<\/li><li>Will age ever catch up to Tom Brady?<\/li><li>How hard will the pandemic impact our debt and deficit spending?<\/li><li>Will we address our ever-increasing national debt?<\/li><li>Will Congress pass a budget before the fiscal year for the first time since 1996?<\/li><li>How will the bias of the 24 hour news stations change with Pres. Trump no longer in the White House?<\/li><li>Will they still talk about him?<\/li><li>Who will emerge as 2024 presidential frontrunners?<\/li><li>What will history give credit to the Trump administration for?<\/li><li>What will history blame the Trump administration for?<\/li><li>What will be the division of labor between a Pres. Biden and Vice Pres. Harris?<\/li><li>What do vice presidents actually do?<\/li><li>What do \u201cnormalized relations\u201d mean with respect to China?<\/li><li>Will we change how we deal with countries who continue to oppress their people or resist democracy and freedom of religion?<\/li><li>What will happen at the border?<\/li><li>Will there still exist such a thing as \u201cillegal immigration\u201d?<\/li><li>How can we make progress in a way that cares for the refugee but is still wise and safe for all?<\/li><li>What progress will be made in helping our friends who are persons of color feel safer and equally valued?<\/li><li>What can we do and what should we not?<\/li><li>Where do we need to listen more to a different perspective?<\/li><li>Will college football expand their playoff system so other formidable teams could be seriously considered?<\/li><li>Can Facebook last?<\/li><li>Will people continue to mistake likes, comments and tweets as dialogue?<\/li><li>Will government get more involved in regulating social media?<\/li><li>Will government get more involved in regulating religion?<\/li><li>How much respect as a nation will we continue to give God?<\/li><li>What happens to Hollywood after the pandemic?<\/li><li>Will movie theaters be a thing of the past?<\/li><li>Will we continue as a country to be enamored with celebrity?<\/li><li>How will the film, farming, food production, energy, oil, phone and television industries change?<\/li><li>Will there still be a printed newspaper?<\/li><li>What happens to cancel culture?<\/li><li>Will we recognize that cancelation is the opposite of grace \u2014 even when it\u2019s not so amazing?<\/li><li>What will happen in regard to how we acknowledge gender and sex?<\/li><li>What are we encouraging that\u2019s healthy and that\u2019s not?<\/li><li>Will gender-specific pronouns be prohibited?<\/li><li>What will we protest in the year ahead?<\/li><li>Will it be peaceful?<\/li><li>What will the long term effects of Twitter usage be on the younger generations?<\/li><li>What will they do better than prior generations?<\/li><li>What will they do worse?<\/li><li>Will we as a country value both our youth and elderly more?<\/li><li>Will Joe Biden be a healer or a divider?<\/li><li>What does it take to be a healer?<\/li><li>Will we still fight?<\/li><li>How can I be part of the solution?<\/li><li>Does being a part of the solution equate to everyone thinking more like me?<\/li><li>Or do I recognize that I, too, will always have much to learn?<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026 and thus, we\u2019ll keep asking questions\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Respectfully\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AR<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As is no secret, the question mark is the Intramuralist\u2019s favorite punctuation piece.
