He sharpens me. He makes me better. I think one of life\u2019s greatest errors and omissions is we limit the ways in which we can wisen; we limit how and through whom God can speak. God speaks to me through Josh an absolute ton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we come to the close of this year\u2019s Guest Writer Series, enjoy the keen insight shared by my budding 22 year old. He\u2019s a special man with special needs, no doubt to whom God has blessed with an uncommon, contagious wisdom\u2026&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR:<\/strong> \u201cJosh, where are we starting today? Do you want to first introduce yourself?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cYes. Hello, everyone. My name is Josh. Some of you don\u2019t know me. I really like to hang out, have a great time, eat pizza, nachos, and I have a thing for inspirational quotes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR: <\/strong>\u201cExcellent! We can\u2019t wait to hear. First, tell us a little more about you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cSo when I was a baby, I had heart surgery. And from that moment, there was a mark on my chest. I call it my \u2018brave mark.\u2019 And that\u2019s part of how God first started to change my life. I was sick and He healed me. To me, that\u2019s amazing grace.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR: <\/strong>\u201cHow does that make you feel?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH: <\/strong><em>\u201cIt just shows that I have this special thing with God. Like someone to talk to, to open up to, and tell him what\u2019s really going on in my head.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR: <\/strong>\u201cSo, let\u2019s talk about what\u2019s in your head. You said that you have \u2018a thing\u2019 for inspirational quotes. Why don\u2019t you share with us some of your favorites?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cI always say \u2018Boss up,\u2019 because it means to go for it and work hard. When you feel really tired and your body is telling you \u2018no,\u2019 you gotta get up anyway, no matter how many times it\u2019s a no. If you boss up, you realize you can do it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR:<\/strong> \u201cThat\u2019s great. I know we joke about it sometimes \u2014 and you do that a lot with Uncle Mike, too, which is funny. But I love it! What\u2019s next for us?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cIt\u2019s important to honor other people.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR:<\/strong> \u201cWhat do you mean by honor?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong><em> \u201cIt means you speak of them with mad respect. You are always kind. You treat other people like they\u2019re in your family.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR:<\/strong> \u201cIs there anyone specific you want to honor here today?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cA shout out to my grandpa, Bob.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR:<\/strong> \u201cWhy him?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cBecause we always had a special relationship. He would tease me because he loved me, even letting me sit on his lap when I was older, teasing me about how much I weigh. We were good like that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR: <\/strong>\u201cThat\u2019s great. So give us one more inspirational quote or encouragement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cNever stop believing in yourself.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR:<\/strong> \u201cTell us more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cIt\u2019s kind of like saying never lose faith. In God and in yourself. God will always be <\/em><strong><em>for <\/em><\/strong><em>you.\u201d<br><\/em><br><strong>AR:<\/strong> \u201cWhat does it mean that God is \u2018for\u2019 you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cHe\u2019s writing your story. And it\u2019s not done.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR: <\/strong>\u201cKnowing that about yourself \u2014 brave mark and all after all these years \u2014 how does that make you feel?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOSH:<\/strong> <em>\u201cAmazed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AR: <\/strong>\u201cLove it, Josh.
