{"id":190,"date":"2012-05-03T06:33:43","date_gmt":"2012-05-03T10:33:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/intramuralist.com\/?p=190"},"modified":"2012-05-03T06:33:43","modified_gmt":"2012-05-03T10:33:43","slug":"wonderful","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/intramuralist.com\/?p=190","title":{"rendered":"wonderful"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Far too wonderful for me&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Recently I was struck by that phrase.\u00a0 Perhaps you\u2019ve noticed it embedded in a few semi-humble posts.\u00a0 I must admit:\u00a0 the concept is often a little inconsistent with how I think.\u00a0 I mean, I\u2019m not a rocket scientist nor student of microbiology.\u00a0 But I do have 2 B.S.\u2019s and a fairly decent grasp of contemporary culture.\u00a0 The Intramuralist is a pursuer of wisdom.\u00a0 And as a current events observer, I now concede that yes, there is much that is far too wonderful for me.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I pondered the meaning of wonder&#8230; wonderful&#8230;\u00a0 <em>Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.\u00a0 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand&#8230;\u00a0 stronger than me&#8230;\u00a0 so high I cannot reach it&#8230;\u00a0 beyond me&#8230;\u00a0 lofty.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t attain it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We think of \u201cwonderful\u201d as good.\u00a0 \u201cWonderful,\u201d however, instead equates to the extraordinary \u2014 extraordinary and thus incomprehensible&#8230; too difficult to understand.\u00a0 As I survey the news of the day, that could be good.\u00a0 Sometimes tis not&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From the most recent headlines:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFormer NFL star Junior Seau was found shot to death at his home Wednesday morning in what police said appeared to be a suicide.
