Yesterday my younger brother got married.<\/p>\n

My family is both thankful and proud.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In preparation for today, the officiating pastor asked us siblings what qualities we most admire in our brother.\u00a0 There\u2019s lots I could say about Stun.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He\u2019s witty…<\/p>\n
He\u2019s wise…<\/p>\n
He\u2019s athletic…<\/p>\n
He\u2019s strong…<\/p>\n
He\u2019s God-fearing…<\/p>\n
He\u2019s God honoring…<\/p>\n
He\u2019s loyal and faithful…<\/p>\n
When he isn\u2019t multi-tasking at all those activities he is so good at, he\u2019s an excellent listener and a cherished friend.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s fun to be \u201con the other end of Stun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Let me also say this…<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Stun is an elected politician.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll add this…<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Stun is the kind of person that should<\/i> be an elected politician.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I humbly opine such because Stun is a man of integrity.\u00a0 He\u2019s authentic; he\u2019s real.\u00a0 His \u201cyes\u201d means \u201cyes\u201d and his \u201cno\u201d means \u201cno.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He doesn\u2019t toe the line if it violates his moral compass; in other words, he doesn\u2019t vote a specific way simply because someone tells him \u2014 or expects him \u2014 to.\u00a0 Friends, that is the kind of person we need in office.\u00a0 That is the kind of person who actually represents us well.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t need any more persons in office who simply cast a robotic ballot, prompted by political engrainment and special interest paybacks.\u00a0 We don\u2019t need any more persons in office who spend and spend with no specific, measurable plan to pay it back.\u00a0 We don\u2019t need any more persons in office who give great speeches, but still seem only to care for small percentages of the country. \u00a0We don\u2019t need any more persons in office who are prideful and arrogant \u2014 or who only listen to the likeminded. \u00a0We don’t need any more persons in office who only listen to themselves. \u00a0We need persons in office who are ethical, humble, teachable, smart, God-fearing, and without a doubt, men and women of integrity.<\/p>\n

My brother got married yesterday.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m so proud of him.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Proud of him in office.\u00a0 Prouder still of who he is.<\/p>\n
