As several spend more time on their brackets than their business, I propose that the madness began long before March.\u00a0 Thus allow me to expediently utilize the madness of the hardwood to humbly offer my entrants into what has contributed to the craze of current events.\u00a0 Note that they are currently not in exact order; remember that even what some may consider a #16 seed is still allowed in the dance. We won\u2019t all agree on the seeds nor on who\/what should be included.\u00a0 The following aspects, attitudes, circumstances, and events are the real contributors to March Madness… at least in 2014…<\/p>\n

#1 Seeds:\u00a0 \u201cThe Lackeys\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Lack of respect for all mankind<\/li>\n
  2. Lack of empathy & compassion<\/li>\n
  3. Lack of humility<\/li>\n
  4. Lack of gratitude<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    #2 Seeds:\u00a0 \u201cThe Unwilling\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. An unwillingness to compromise<\/li>\n
    2. An unwillingness to acknowledge God<\/li>\n
    3. An unwillingness to adhere to the Constitution<\/li>\n
    4. An unwillingness to sacrifice<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      #3 Seeds:\u00a0 \u201cThe Selfies\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

      1. Self-centeredness<\/li>\n
      2. Self-reliance<\/li>\n
      3. Self-focus<\/li>\n
      4. Selfishness<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        #4 Seeds:\u00a0 \u201cThe Shunners & Ships\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

        1. Discrimination<\/p>\n

        2.\u00a0Reverse discrimination<\/p>\n

        3. Partisanship<\/p>\n

        4. Materialism as one\u2019s sole ambition<\/p>\n

        #5 Seeds:\u00a0 \u201cThe Ele-Ments\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

        1. Entitlement<\/li>\n
        2. Environmental disrespect<\/li>\n
        3. The Establishment<\/li>\n
        4. \u201cExcrement\u201d (feel free to substitute another word here)<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          #6 Seeds:\u00a0 \u201cThe Dazed & Confused\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

          1. The confusion between wants & needs…<\/li>\n
          2. … wisdom & intelligence<\/li>\n
          3. … blessing & wealth<\/li>\n
          4. … success & celebrity<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

             <\/p>\n

            Note that violence, famine, climate, debt, disease, hopelessness, hate, fear, poverty, political instability, war, traditional values, evolving values, income motives & assessments, the economy, Barack Obama, Republicans, Democrats, socialism, sexism, social media, too much sports, pickles (ok, sorry \u2014 that\u2019s from me),<\/i> terrorism, texting in place of real conversation, Arabs & Israelis, Russia & Ukraine, Iran & everyone else, Obamacare, obesity, gluttony, ignorance, radical Islam, inequality, equality, tolerance, intolerance, population growth, population growth myths, and red tape filled out the rest of the bracket.\u00a0 Each lost to a higher seed.<\/p>\n

            Yes, as previously stated, the madness began long before March.<\/p>\n
