How it feels…<\/p>\n

… to have loved ones in a plane intentionally shot down…<\/p>\n

… to have actually been<\/i> on that plane…<\/p>\n

… would I have felt anything?<\/p>\n

… known anything?<\/p>\n

… what my final moments on the planet would have been like…<\/p>\n

… what my eyes and face will someday see…<\/p>\n

I can only imagine.<\/p>\n

The depth of the emotion of those left here…<\/p>\n

… Australian Kaylene Mann, who lost her stepdaughter in this crash — after losing her brother and sister-in-law when Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 tragically disappeared in March — a plane still not found…<\/p>\n

… Barry and Izzy Sim, who were told in the final moments before boarding that their flight was too full; they were being moved to another plane — thus shockingly, mercifully learning later what they were spared…<\/p>\n

… how they will live now…<\/p>\n

I can only imagine.<\/p>\n

What goes through the heads and hearts of those involved or those expected to react…<\/p>\n

… world leaders — expressing outrage at the act, respect for the victims, compassion for the families, and attempting to cede all scoring of self-motivated political points…<\/p>\n

… Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin, who may or may not have been aware or responsible, who may or may not be motivated by evil…<\/p>\n

… the one who pulled the trigger on the missile, who most likely was<\/i> motivated by evil…<\/p>\n

I can only imagine.<\/p>\n

At the time the shot was heard \u2018round the world on Thursday, when reports surfaced of the downed passenger plane, I was on the phone with a customer service rep, making a routine appointment.\u00a0 As she was waiting on her computer to proceed with scheduling, I asked if she was aware of the fateful Malaysian flight.\u00a0 She responded affirmatively; her shock was obvious and apparent.\u00a0 When the discussion evolved into the aspect that the jet was hit by a missile — meaning an explosive was intentionally shot<\/i> in its direction — the gal expressed an audible, strong shiver, adding, \u201cI don\u2019t like to think about things like that.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Isn\u2019t that the point?<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t like to think about things like that.\u00a0 We don\u2019t like to think about the lives lost… what actually happened.\u00a0 It\u2019s outrageous.\u00a0 Awful.\u00a0 Heinous and heartbreaking.<\/p>\n

We also don\u2019t like to think about who could have pulled that trigger — who launched and ordered the launch of that missile.\u00a0 It was wrong. \u00a0Sinful. \u00a0Evil.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t like those words.\u00a0 They make us incredibly uncomfortable.\u00a0 We don\u2019t like admitting that wrong, sin, and evil exist on planet Earth.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t like to imagine.<\/p>\n

Respectfully…<\/p>\n
