Today was one of those days when I had a post penned and panned out, wrestling with some of our ongoing wondering in the world. I was putting the final edits on some thoughts, scanning the most current issues\u2026<\/p>\n

Evaluating the weekend\u2019s Brexit\u2026 recognizing there\u2019s still so much to learn\u2026 recognizing too many either seem to know it all or act as inciters of fear\u2026<\/p>\n

Examining the day\u2019s Supreme Court decisions\u2026 striking down Texas abortion restrictions\u2026 overturning former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell\u2019s corruption convictions\u2026 and okaying a gun ban for domestic abusers\u2026<\/p>\n

Or\u2026 assessing the current race for the White House\u2026 Trump criticizing Clinton\u2026 Clinton criticizing Trump\u2026 and each supporting said surrogates, encouraging them to be equally vicious or vilify\u2026<\/p>\n

And just as today\u2019s post was set to be formatted for publishing, a young man\u2026<\/p>\n

13 years old\u2026<\/p>\n

Passed away.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t help but think about how we sit here and write and talk and debate and dialogue all these current issues, as referenced above. I actually think via the Intramuralist, you guys do an incredible, excellent, and respectful job. But I unfortunately don\u2019t believe all are truly committed to respecting their fellow man; too many say something along the lines of \u201cI accept everyone\u201d\u2026 but then they refuse to accept the person who feels differently than they. More so, I\u2019m fearful that most are committed to respecting only some of \u201ctheir fellow man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days like today make me pause. They make me stop \u2014 thank God. Someone so loved dies far too early. It makes no sense.<\/p>\n

And so for me, I need to put away the evaluations, examinations, and assessments for one day\u2026 and then I say what I so often say in our household\u2026<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know why some things happen. I don\u2019t fully understand.<\/p>\n

But I trust in a God who knows more.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s enough for me.<\/p>\n
